My role at Carta is as one of the senior-most ICs in the organization. In addition to working on multiple product teams, I have contributed to the reimagining of our interview process and engineering onboarding program. I was the co-founder of the engineering mentoring program, and lately I have been working on the next iteration of our audit tooling.

I went back to an IC position when I started at what was at the time Yahoo!. After about three years, I went back to management, around the time Verizon bought the company. I worked on the Big Data platforms team, building grid management software and overseeing grid ingress, egress, and data movement tools.

Wolfram was my very first job out of grad school. I started as a Jr. Web Developer, did a 4 year stint in management, then moved into an IC Web Architect role. I worked on early Wolfram|Alpha development, oversaw all Wolfram web properties, and worked on the inital Mathematica Online release.

Simultaneously the longest and shortest year of my life. I did the two year program in one year, because I had life plans that needed me in Central IL in September of 2006. His name is Joshua, and he was worth it.

Thus we are striving for a more equitable, transparent, and community-driven government by our elected officials with an eye toward positive progress for all of our residents and our community as a whole. I help with the website, event planning, and voter education.

The People's Agenda was a grassroots organization in Champaign-Urbana working on voter education, candidate recruitment, and get out the vote initiatives. I was responsible for managing volunteer events as well as our social media and web presence.

I served on the organizing committee for the annual prom fundraiser and regularly attended food repacks and distributions. I also launched and maintain their Online Virtual Food Drive where they have raised more than $30K.
